Arindam possesses rich experience in the Power sector spanning over three decades during which he has worked extensively with governments, consumer groups, academicians, and multilateral funding institutions on various sectoral reforms and implementation. He has advised and led some of the foremost utility – driven power sector reforms processes and brings in extensive experience in large IT solution implementation, program management and stakeholder coordination.
Arindam’s forte lies in enhancing efficiency through technological interventions and innovative solution design and he has advised many governments in their digitization and customer experience enhancement goals.
He has directly supported top management in power utilities in complying with the laws, policies and regulations. His wide-ranging involvement covers business restructuring, unbundling and re-organization, enhancing commercial and operational performance, tariff structuring, subsidy and cross-subsidy issues, private sector participation, power trade, technology and IT enablement, contract reviews (including PPAs, contracts, trade agreements, etc.), procurement, corporate governance, management reporting, institutional strengthening, skilling, and capacity development.
His expertise encompasses reform initiatives, regulatory matters, strategic planning, policy formulation, utility modernization, and solution implementation across ten countries and twelve Indian states. His involvement spans key power sector reform projects in India, including those in Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi.
